Need a taxi for a station connection, an appointment or a trip across Ely? Find My Cab takes booking requests for local journeys. Tell us where you need collecting, where you are going and when, and we can discuss availability and the price.
If you have a train to catch or an appointment to reach, include the time you need to arrive as well as your preferred pickup time. That gives us the details needed to discuss the trip, rather than just an address and a clock time.
Request a local taxi using the form below, or call 01353 376500 during office hours. Outside office hours, call 07904 005014 or use WhatsApp until midnight.
Taxis to and from Ely station
For a lift to Ely railway station, send your collection address, travel date and train departure time. Tell us when you want to reach the station, allowing time for the next part of your trip.
If you need collecting after a train arrives, include the arrival time, where you are travelling from and your onward destination. Agree the collection point when arranging the booking, especially if you do not know the station. Do not assume a driver will be waiting at the taxi rank without an agreed booking.
Bringing cases or travelling as a group? Include that in the request so we can consider the passengers and luggage together. If your train plans change, contact us to discuss any change to the collection.
Appointments, shopping and evenings out
Local trips do not always finish when you reach the first address. You may need a lift home after an appointment, an extra collection for a friend, or a stop on the way.
Send both addresses and mention any return journey or additional stop at the start. If you are unsure what time you will be ready to come back, say so in the enquiry and discuss the arrangements with us. A return pickup needs to be agreed; it is not automatically included with the outward trip.
For collection from a venue, include its name and address. Mention any useful access detail, such as the entrance you will use, so the pickup instructions are clear.
Booking ahead and private hire enquiries
You can request a local journey in advance. Give us the date, addresses, passenger count and any time you need to arrive. If you are looking for private hire in Ely, use the same details to discuss your trip with us.
For a taxi needed soon, contact us to check what is available. We do not promise an immediate pickup just because a request has been sent. The form sends an enquiry, not an automatic booking confirmation.
Passengers, luggage and our vehicles
We can carry up to four passengers in a car, or up to eight in the van, depending on luggage fit. Let us know about shopping bags, large cases, pushchairs or other bulky items as well as the passenger count.
Our fleet includes Lexus ES300h, Peugeot Expert and Mercedes-Benz V-Class vehicles. Availability and the suitable vehicle are confirmed when booking; a particular model is not guaranteed for every trip.
We do not have a ramp-equipped vehicle. If you have access requirements, explain what you need before booking so you can check the vehicle's suitability.
Price, payment and contact hours
Ask for a price for the journey you actually need, including any extra stops or return. Card, cash and bank transfer are accepted; confirm payment arrangements when booking.
Our taxi service operates 24 hours, subject to availability. Contact hours are different: call 01353 376500 during office hours. Outside office hours, use the mobile number or WhatsApp until midnight. Arrange overnight travel in advance rather than relying on a reply after midnight.
